Start-ups troubled by the so-called angel tax may soon receive some concession from the government. On Monday, the Centre set up a five-member working committee to look into revising the norms of the angel tax imposed on start-ups.

3. Curb (noun) – नियंत्रण
Meaning – A check or restraint on something.
Synonyms – restriction, check, brake, rein, control, limitation, limit
Sentence – Plans to introduce tougher curbs on insider dealing.
4. Laundering (verb) – काले धन को वैध बनाना
Meaning – to hide the origin of money obtained from illegal activities by putting it into legal businesses
Sentence – If convicted, the money laundering charge carries a penalty of up to life in prison.

Meaning – larger or richer than necessary

16. Rein (verb) – लगाम
Meaning – to control something and stop it increasing
Sentence – He reined in his horse and waited
17. Nascent (adjective) – नवजात
Meaning – beginning or formed recently
Synonyms – beginning, coming out, arising, dawning
Sentence – The nascent space industry.
