2. Significant (adjective) – महत्वपूर्ण
Meaning – Sufficiently great or important to be worthy of attention
Synonyms – noteworthy, worthy of attention, remarkable, outstanding, important
Sentence – A significant increase in sales.
3. Ballot (noun) – मतदान
Meaning – A system of voting secretly and in writing on a particular issue.
Synonyms – plebiscite, popular vote, poll
Sentence – The commissioners were elected by ballot.
4. Mainstream (noun) – मुख्य धारा
Meaning – considered ordinary or normal and accepted or used by most people
Sentence – Education policy often leads the way to integrate new ideas into the mainstream.
5. Regressive (adjective) – प्रतिगामी
Meaning – supporting methods and ideas that existed in the past
Synonyms – retrogressive, unprogressive, for the worse
Sentence – Regressive aspects of recent local government reform.
6. Plethora (noun) – बहुतायत
Meaning – A large or excessive amount of something.
Synonyms – abundance, lot, mass, host, plenitude, cornucopia.

7. Grievance (noun) – शिकायत
Meaning – A real or imagined cause for complaint, especially unfair treatment.

8. Tampering (verb) – छेड़छाड़
Meaning – to touch something that you should not touch, and to change it in some way, often because you want to spoil it.

9. Safeguard (verb) – रक्षा, बचाव
Meaning – Protect from harm or damage with an appropriate measure.

Meaning – something that is added to something else but is not essential to it.

Meaning – behaving in a way that is bad or wrong.

13. Turnout (noun) – उपस्थित होना
Meaning – the number of voters in an election
Synonyms – number of people present, audience

14. Spool (verb)
Meaning –(of an engine) increase its speed of rotation, typically to that required for operation.
Sentence – You can probably hear the engines spooling up behind us.
